To reach the Northside, take a quick 2-minute Public ferry ride from The Split, Caye Caulker. Please note there is a small cash fee per person, with additional charges for  bicycles, or golf carts. If you need to cross after 10:00 p.m., you can hire a private speedboat for a premium dock-to-dock transfer.

Since there are no cars on the island, "taxis" are actually 4 to 8 seaters golf carts. Here is how to use them:


 	Finding a Ride: Taxis are readily available at the Water Taxi terminals and the Caye Caulker Airport for every arriving flight and boat. You can also hail one down in the village or ask a local business to call one for you.
 	Standard Rates: Expect to pay approximately $5 BZ ($2.50 USD) per person for trips within the village, or $10 BZ ($5 USD) per person if traveling to or from the airport.
 	Going to the Northside: Taxis can take you as far as The Split. From there, you will transition to the split ferry to reach the Northside.
 	Payment: Taxis are cash only (Belizean or US Dollars). It is helpful to have small bills ready.
