Welcome to your peaceful island retreat! Carolyn’s Other House offers a spacious, beachfront studio cabana designed for guests who want a bit more privacy. Set slightly back from the water, this cozy escape still boasts incredible sea views and gives you plenty of room to spread out and relax.

More Space to Unwind: The spacious, larger deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the hammock, reading a book, or simply soaking in the natural beauty.

Authentic Island Living: Like our other cabana, this one was designed without a TV or A/C so you can fully embrace the natural, cooling trade winds and the peaceful sounds of the ocean.

Everything You Need: Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen-size bed, a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up your favorite meals, and a private hot and cold shower.

Convenient Location: We’re located just a short, easy walk from the village center, giving you quick access to shops and restaurants while still enjoying a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

No Swimming at the Front: While our beachfront is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, swimming is not recommended directly in front of the property. For the best swimming, we recommend visiting The Split, a popular spot just a short walk away.

Shared Property: The cabana shares a beachfront yard with one other cottage, Carolyn’s House. You’ll have your own private space inside but may see other guests in the shared yard and beach area.

Outdoor Living: Island life means occasional visits from geckos, birds, and other harmless wildlife—part of the authentic tropical experience!

Grocery & Dining: Shops and restaurants are just a short walk away, making it easy to stock up on essentials or sample local cuisine.

      No, nightly rates are not inclusive of the Government Hotel Tax (9% or 10.75% depending on the property). A fixed Laundry & Cleaning Fee is also separate and applied per stay.

      Only a few of our properties have pools. Tranquila Caye offers a private pool exclusively for your use, while condos within the Popeyes Beach Condos complex feature shared pools.     • Are linens and towels provided?
      Yes, all bed linens and bath towels are provided. We recommend bringing your own beach towels for sunny days at The Split or other swimming spots around the island.

      Yes, we can arrange shuttle services from Belize City airport (BZE) to the water taxi terminal, and further assistance upon your arrival on Caye Caulker.
    • Can you help with Tropic Air flight reservations?
      No, we don’t make direct local flight reservations; however, our team can provide you with a reservation link to conveniently book your own flight. 
    • Is there assistance upon arrival?
      Yes, we can arrange a taxi service from the Caye Caulker ferry docks or airport to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival at your property.
    • Where can I buy a SIM card on Caye Caulker?
      You can purchase a SIM card at the Digistore (Belize Telemedia Limited) branch located right on the island. For store details and hours, please verify directly using their store locator link  https://livedigi.com/store-locator/
    • What if I miss the last water taxi (ferry) to the island, or are there faster alternatives?
      (Ferry): The last water taxi is around 5:30 PM. If you miss it, you must either stay overnight in Belize City or arrange an expensive, private charter boat. Schedule and fare changes are frequent; travelers must verify all departure times with the operators (Water Taxi/Sprinter) directly. (Alternative): For a faster option, you can choose to fly via Tropic Air from either Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) or Belize Municipal Airport. Please check their website for the most current schedule and pricing. https://www.tropicair.com/
    • Do I need to exchange money for Belize Dollars (BZD)?

    • How should I arrange a taxi/shuttle from the mainland (airport/terminal)?

    • How do I get to the Northside from Caye Caulker village?
      To reach the Northside, take a quick 2-minute Public ferry ride from The Split, Caye Caulker. You can use the Northside Ferry Service  ( https://www.facebook.com/northsideferry/ ) or the Split to Split Ferry Service   ( https://www.facebook.com/splitosplitferry) , which both run frequently from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m Belize time. Please note there is a small cash fee per person, with additional charges for  bicycles, or golf carts. If you need to cross after 10:00 p.m., you can hire a private speedboat for a premium dock-to-dock transfer.
    • How do I get a taxi on Caye Caulker?

      Since there are no cars on the island, "taxis" are actually 4 to 8 seaters golf carts. Here is how to use them:

      1. Finding a Ride: Taxis are readily available at the Water Taxi terminals and the Caye Caulker Airport for every arriving flight and boat. You can also hail one down in the village or ask a local business to call one for you.
      2. Standard Rates: Expect to pay approximately $5 BZ ($2.50 USD) per person for trips within the village, or $10 BZ ($5 USD) per person if traveling to or from the airport.
      3. Going to the Northside: Taxis can take you as far as The Split. From there, you will transition to the split ferry to reach the Northside.
      4. Payment: Taxis are cash only (Belizean or US Dollars). It is helpful to have small bills ready.
    • What do I need to know about renting a golf cart in Caye Caulker?

      Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required.

      Rental Options: Carts are available hourly or daily.
